Loch ken isn't even funny anymore davey, couple of years ago I was last up and we got upto 84 crayfish in 1 trap! 50+ was the norm after couple of hours of trap being in water.

As for sea getting away while tides are big isn't good as far as I'm concerned
but if it brings some fish closer in for anyone willing to endure the weed then good for yas

Good practice for the winter,reeling in huge stalks of kelpies
if i do get out i will be staying clear of the beaches
