Think The Idea Of Using ,,Edible Shop Bought Bait,,,Needs Looking Into..
Only As A Back Up Bait,,     They Do Work..   I Have Been Using Soft Back Crab And
Catching,, At ,34p Each,,,,Compare That To The Price Of Peeler,, And I,v Got A Freezer
Freezer Full.. But As You All Know I Use Fresh And Frozen Baits,, And Have Had Good
Results On Both,,  Chris know you are reading this,,Could Do With Some Clams,,
But The Coming Winter,,,think it will be a good one,,, Will Tell...
                                   ,,,,,BRI,,,,,

are we starting to talk about price of bait its not cheap is it.

what about buying from chinese supermarkets i am not sure were everybody on here lives but in tyne and wear area there is a one in stowel road next to newcastle football club heard they sell soft sheelled crab/razors/ blueys at times maybe other stuff.

theres quite a bit talk about washed and unwashed bait does it make any diff i dont no.

i have heard people swear buy using prawns which have been defrosted and refroze they said they fished much better same with squid.

imho the most consitant bait for codling has to be the lugworm but the cost of it ridiculas.

how many of us experiment with baits if you think about it you go down and put summit diff on the hook a fish of a lifetime comes along smells it and says i dont want that now if you had a juicy big lug bait on your usual bait would it of passed you by you could of missed a fish of a lifetime hard decisions.
