Going to try the barrier on Roker with a 13ft bamboo rod n centre pin reel a few floats and target the Pollock and Wrasse. Should be a laugh 

That takes me back to the 1959 fishing with a hand line and was fishing up your way. In them days we used a shooting stick a 6,,8 ft bamboo cane to get the bait out,  you young ones wont know how to fish like that, in them days fishing was not a sport,, it was food.
To day it,s a hobby when us anglers go out to get the better,,biggest fish. nothing wrong with that, but as me at 64 years old ,,stop laugthing lads,,I do know what im talking about.
Fishing to me is a break from the daily routine of life,,  I LIKE IT, AND DONT  WANT TO STOP                                          ,,Bri,,                                 ,
